Hyolyn has become a hot topic on Korean social media after revealing a surprising item she keeps in her purse.
On April 22 KST, the 'What's in My Bag' YouTube channel released a video where the singer introduces the items she usually carries in her purse. In the video, Hyolyn contemplates the contents of her bag, trying to figure out which item she wants to reveal first, before pulling out a large Bible.
Laughing as she shows the Bible to the camera, she explains, "Actually, I have a much smaller Bible too. However, if you ask me why I'm carrying one that's so big, it's because I attend Bible study every week."
"This is a Bible that was gifted to me by the unnies I Bible study with, and I like carrying it around even though it's large and heavy because it's possible to take notes in," she continued. "I usually write down [parts of] the Bible. I carry it around even though it's heavy and cumbersome so that I can write things down whenever – like when I have some free time or when I'm waiting for something."
She then pulled out a second item from her bag, a pencil case, which she needs to make her aforementioned memos.
"I bought this when I was a trainee or when I first debuted at a large bookstore because I really like the strong characters [decorating the pencil case]," she described. She then continued to reveal essential items she carries in her bag, including a hand warmer, pouch, and some hand cream that was gifted to her by Dasom, her former SISTAR groupmate.
Netizens on various online portal sites were endeared by her Bible study hobby, leaving comments like, "The size of that Bible is the size of the one my church's deaconess owns," "It's surprising that Hyolyn is studying the Bible, but it['s a hobby suits her well," "Her bag must be so heavy. Is this an exercise bag?," "This is the first time I've seen someone bring a Bible to 'What's in My Bag. Hyolyn's so cute," and "This is my first time since birth seeing someone pull out a Bible on 'What's in My Bag.'"
Meanwhile, Hyolyn is currently competing on the Mnet girl group survival program 'Queendom 2,' where she ranked #1 during both the first and second rounds.

I think its wonderful, people on Twitter have said she is too “sexy” for worshiping god. I don’t think that as long as you love god and appreciate what he has done for you, the everything is good.
