Dancer Honey J confesses she was experiencing financial difficulties before appearing on Mnet's 'Street Woman Fighter'.
On the April 25 KST broadcast of JTBC's 'A Very Personal Relationship: Between Us', dancer Honey J made a guest appearance and met up with her former dance student and actress Kim Hee Jung. During their conversation, Honey J opened up about how she was experiencing extreme financial difficulties just until appearing on the popular dance survival program 'Street Woman Fighter'. Due to COVID-19, concerts and events were contantly getting cancelled and because of this, Honey J also had no stream of income. Honey J revealed that during this time, she had a monthly income of just around 500,000 won through 600,000 won (~$399 - $479 USD).
Kim Hee Jung also remembered feeling shocked at the level of Honey J's difficulty and stated, "I never imagined how hard it actually was for [Honey J] unni because you would never show your feelings when we met. But when unni said 'should I get a delivery part-time job?' that's when I finally felt the reality of it. I was shocked when I saw you genuinely trying to find another job". Honey J then expressed her gratitude and apologetic feelings toward Kim Hee Jung, who had bought her a lot of food during her difficult times. With this in mind, Kim Hee Jung was the second person that Honey J called right after her crew HolyBang was named the winner of 'Street Woman Fighter'.
