Boynextdoor has been appointed as the global ambassadors for the 'FIVB Men's World Championship 2025', becoming the first K-pop group selected for a tournament organized by the FIVB (International Volleyball Federation), according to their agency KOZ Entertainment.
On April 26, the FIVB delegation visited the Hybe headquarters in Yongsan, Seoul, to officially appoint the group. As ambassadors, Boynextdoor will participate in promotional activities ahead of the tournament and perform the finale stage at the opening ceremony.
The 'FIVB Men's World Championship', established in 1949, is one of the sport’s most prestigious competitions. This year's edition will kick off on September 12 in Manila, Philippines, where South Korea’s men's national volleyball team has qualified for the finals for the first time in 11 years, raising anticipation among fans.
Consisting of members Sungho, Riwoo, Myung Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan, and Woonhak, Boynextdoor is currently recognized as one of the fastest-rising groups in the K-pop scene. Their appointment as ambassadors is expected to further enhance the tournament’s global appeal.
In a statement, Boynextdoor expressed their enthusiasm, saying, "We are thrilled and honored to serve as global ambassadors in a year when the Korean national team is competing. We will do our best to help many people experience the excitement and beauty of volleyball, and we will passionately support the success of this tournament together with fans around the world."

The FIVB praised the group's involvement, stating, "Boynextdoor will play a vital role in promoting sportsmanship, unity, and the spirit of competition at the 2025 FIVB Men's World Championship. Their global influence will boost interest in volleyball, encourage cultural exchange, and support our mission of bringing nations together through the sport."
Ramon Suzara, senior vice president of the FIVB, added, "I attended Boynextdoor’s concert in Manila last March and was impressed by their unique charm, dynamic energy, and influence. They are the perfect choice as global ambassadors for this tournament."
Kim Tae Ho, chief operating officer of Hybe, also commented, "K-pop and sports share core values. Both ignite passion and dedication in fans through performance and effort. We anticipate strong synergy between Boynextdoor and the 2025 FIVB Men's World Championship."
