Rising K-pop group TWS continues to ride their wave of popularity as they gear up for their third mini album, 'TRY WITH US', with a fresh sound and vibrant concept that solidifies their identity as leaders of the “refreshing youth” genre.

On April 14th at 10 PM KST, the group (Shinyu, Dohoon, Younjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin) released a highlight medley video via HYBE Labels’ YouTube channel. The preview includes snippets of all six tracks on the upcoming album, with each member introducing a personal item symbolizing a specific song and explaining its meaning.

The title track, “Aren’t you cool for following your heart?”, immediately stands out with its upbeat pop sound. The energetic drums and sleek synths offer an exhilarating rush, while lyrics like “Your breath gets rough / your heart keeps racing / it’s calling to chase what you want” evoke memories of daring yet beautiful moments of youth. TWS’s bright and emotionally charged vocals soar over the track’s signature “refreshing beat,” striking a balance between approachable and sophisticated.

Youngjae, representing the title song, introduced a timer as his symbolic item. “This track encourages boldness when facing something new,” he shared. “The timer reflects that inner countdown before diving into a challenge. When I hear it, I remember that emotional moment when we, as TWS, said, ‘Let’s just go for it.’”

The album’s opening track, “Lucky to be loved”, blends a warm UK garage rhythm with a tender melody. Shinyu held up a mirror, saying, “It represents the gratitude we feel for those who’ve seen us for who we are.”

For “Random Play”, an upbeat song with punchy drums and guitar contrasted by warm synth textures, Dohoon presented a phone, calling it an essential item for spontaneous trips. “If this song plays on your journey, I think it’ll make everything feel freer.”

The track “Freestyle”, infused with hip-hop, R&B, and rock, bursts with 808 bass and bold beats. Kyungmin, wearing headphones, explained, “It feels like being in your own world, moving confidently like you’re the star of the show.”

“Now Playing”, a late-night-themed UK garage track, is highlighted by catchy pluck sounds and intuitive melodies. Hanjin, holding a popcorn bucket, said, “It captures that thrill of going to a movie at night for the first time.”

Closing out the album is “GO BACK”, a bold alternative pop track driven by a powerful bass line and synths. With a secret notebook in hand, Jihoon explained, “Of all life’s challenges, being honest with your feelings—confessing—is the hardest. This song is about that brave, straightforward honesty.”

TWS’s third mini album 'TRY WITH US' is set to drop on April 21st at 6 PM KST. Leading up to the release, official teasers for the title track will be revealed on April 17th and April 19th. On release day, the group will host a comeback showcase to celebrate with their fans, 42.
