BTS member Jimin has once again made history on Spotify's South Korean charts, setting a remarkable new milestone.
As of the latest Spotify chart update on April 4, Jimin has maintained his top position on the 'Weekly Top Artists' chart in South Korea for the 90th week. This is the first and only time an artist has achieved this feat in the chart's history.
Jimin first entered the 'Weekly Top Artists' chart in the last week of April 2022 with his OST "With You" for the tvN drama 'Our Blues'. Since then, as of the April 3rd chart, he has spent a total of 139 weeks on the chart, with an astounding 90 of those weeks at the coveted number one spot, showcasing his unparalleled popularity.
On Spotify's South Korean 'Daily Top Artists' chart, Jimin has also extended his record as the most-topped artist, reaching the number one position for the 613th time as of the April 3rd chart.
Furthermore, the title track "Who" from Jimin's second solo album 'MUSE' soared to the top of the Spotify Korea 'Daily Top Songs' chart upon its release. Despite no official promotional activities, the song has remained at number one for 259 consecutive days, as of the latest chart on April 3. It is also currently enjoying its 37th consecutive week at the top of the 'Weekly Top Songs' chart.
Adding to his global recognition, Jimin previously dominated Spotify's 'Global Impact' list for the second half of 2024, which ranks the most-streamed Korean music overseas. His song "Who" secured the top spot, and he had a total of five songs on the list, including "Be Mine" (5th), "Slow Dance" (19th), "Rebirth" (22nd), and "Interlude: Showtime" (28th), solidifying his status as a world-class artist.
