The photography studio responsible for uploading photos of 2PM's Ok Taecyeon and his girlfriend in Paris has issued a statement of apology for the incident.
On February 6 KST, the overseas photography studio revealed on its official SNS, "We are the photography studio which took the photos in question in Paris in April of 2024. We have received numerous messages regarding the photos of Ok Taecyeon and his girlfriend. In truth, we did not know who they were when the photos were taken. We had no intention of exposing their relationship publicly."
The studio continued, "We only found out today that the people involved were Korean celebrities. They booked a session with us like any ordinary couple. They never made any special requests asking us not to post the photos. We simply uploaded the photos like we share all photos taken by our studio."
Finally, the studio relayed, "We have apologized to Ok Taecyeon and his girlfriend for this incident. We would also like to take this opportunity to issue a public apology. Once again, we would like to state that we had no intention of revealing the girlfriend's face. Once we learned about the incident, we took down the photos immediately, but they were already spread over the internet by then."
Earlier, photos of Ok Taecyeon and his girlfriend in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris sparked engagement rumors between the couple. However, a representative of Taecyeon's label 51K denied the rumors, replying, "There are currently no plans for marriage. The artist is concerned that the fans were hurt by this incident."
Meanwhile, Ok Taecyeon is set to greet his fans at his Valentine's Day fan meeting, 'Sweety Okcat's Happy Valentine's Day', being held at Ilchi Art Hall from February 15-16.
