On February 14th, former NewJeans (NJZ) strongly rejected reports claiming that they were set to sign with Beasts And Natives Alike. The group labeled the reports as 'absurd false information' and vowed to take legal action.
In an official statement, NJZ declared, "The report that NJZ is collaborating with Beasts And Natives Alike is completely unfounded. NJZ has not entered into any contract or discussions with Beasts And Natives Alike."
The statement continued by addressing the basis of the false claims, which were attributed to "multiple industry insiders." NJZ labeled these reports as entirely false, stating, "These claims are baseless and appear to be attempts to stir controversy without verifying facts with the involved parties or Beasts And Natives Alike."
Furthermore, the group expressed their dissatisfaction, emphasizing their plan to take legal action. "We intend to file a formal complaint with the Press Arbitration Commission and pursue severe criminal charges against the media outlets that continue to spread such false information," they added. "These outlets have repeatedly published completely unfounded reports, presenting them as facts and causing immense mental distress to the members and others involved."
The statement concluded with NJZ reaffirming their stance on the issue, acknowledging the toll that these false stories have taken on the group and their associates.
Earlier, a media outlet had claimed, citing multiple industry sources, that NJZ might be shifting to Beasts And Natives Alike, fueling the ongoing rumors.
