The show premiered on January 10 and follows Ji Gang Hee (Lee Se Young), who grew up at a rural motel called Motel California run by her father. She moved to Seoul when she turned 20. 12 years later, she reunites with her first love and childhood friend, Cheon Yeon Su (Na In Woo), when she returns to her hometown.

The historical drama follows Ha Sun, a clown who is summoned to the palace to replace King Lee Hun after an assassination plot threatens his life. Le Se Young plays Han Gyeo Wool, who helps the protagonist in solving cases.
