BTS V has shared the heartbreaking news of his beloved pet dog Yeontan’s passing.
On December 2, V announced on social media that Yeontan has "gone on a long journey," a heartfelt way of sharing his pet’s transition into another life. Yeontan, cherished by BTS fans worldwide, has been a constant presence in V's life and even joined him on stage during his solo promotions last year, becoming a symbol of warmth and love among fans.
In his post, V reflected on a busy year, sharing that he has been preparing a new track alongside Park Hyo Shin and Bing Crosby, two artists he "respects dearly." Welcoming December, V expressed both grief and gratitude as he looked back on the year.

"Hello, ARMY! Are you all enjoying a warm end to the year? I’m relieved that the weather hasn’t gotten too cold yet! It feels like it’s been a while since I’ve greeted ARMY with a song.
The duet with Hyo Shin hyung, whom I really admire, and the carol with Bing Crosby, an artist I deeply respect, which will be released soon, both brought me joy during the preparation process. And just like that, it’s already December again.
Actually, the reason I’m writing today is to share some news. Recently, Yeontan embarked on a long journey to the stars. I thought a lot about how to share this with you, but I felt it was only right to let ARMY, who have sent Yeontan so much love until now, know about it.
If you could think of Yeontan from time to time, so that he can be happy even among the stars, it would mean so much to me. I hope this end of the year becomes a warm one where you can take a moment to tell your loved ones how much you care for them.
Until the day we meet again, I wish for ARMY to always stay healthy!
I love you all, and thank you."
Later, V shared touching footage of Yeontan, honoring the deep bond they shared and the memories that will forever remain close to his heart.
Rest in peace, Yeontan.
