Mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang announces her comeback after three months

AKP STAFF

Mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang has announced her return after a three-month hiatus.

On October 4, Tzuyang shared an update by posting a video titled "It’s Been a While" on her YouTube channel.

In the video, Tzuyang expressed her gratitude, saying, "It’s been a long time since I’ve streamed, and I first want to say thank you. While taking a break, I read a lot of comments and received a lot of encouragement from those around me. I want to thank each and every one of you because it gave me so much strength."

Reflecting on her time off, she admitted, "I had always thought that if something were to happen, I wouldn't be able to continue living or streaming and that I’d be completely unable to carry on. But contrary to my expectations, so many people, both those around me and those who commented, supported me, and I think that helped me endure better than I thought. Thanks to that, it was less difficult."

Tzuyang also shared that she reflected a lot on her past, saying, "I’ve looked back on the past a lot, and there are many things I regret. I also wondered, 'How did I get through that?' and 'Why did I make those choices?' I even tried to rationalize things by thinking, 'Maybe I couldn’t have done it any other way.' I cried a lot, but also thought, 'Maybe it’s not that big of a deal.' I had so many thoughts."

Regarding the future of her YouTube channel, Tzuyang said, "I have family and staff members to take care of. While not everyone likes me—some dislike me—after reading the comments and seeing people support me, I wanted to go back. I wondered, 'Can I return?' But I think, out of my desire, I wanted to come back. When things were tough, streaming helped me keep going."

When fans expressed concern about her weight loss, Tzuyang explained, "I did lose some weight, but I've recently gained it back. I had dropped to 44kg, but now I’m back to around 47kg. So, I’m healthy now. These days, I’ve been eating well and have regained my appetite."

Regarding her comeback plans, Tzuyang shared, "I really enjoyed doing live streams, but for certain reasons, I couldn’t do them. I love live streaming, so I’ll probably do 1 or 2 live Mukbangs from home where I can communicate with my viewers. After that, I plan to upload videos I filmed three months ago. I also made a video celebrating 10 million subscribers, but it couldn’t be released due to the incident, so I plan to upload that too. Following that, I’m planning to film overseas. I really want to film in Korea, but it seems difficult, so I plan to shoot abroad. After that, I plan to operate the channel as I originally did."

Meanwhile, back in July, Tzuyang revealed in a YouTube livestream that she had been subjected to four years of assault and extortion of 4 billion KRW (~2.9 million USD) by her former agency CEO and ex-boyfriend, Mr. A.
