Actress Go Min Si's extreme diet has become a hot topic, sparking discussions online.
Recently, a video titled "[Unreleased] Go Min Si's 43kg Diet" was uploaded on the YouTube channel '117'. In the video, Go Min Si shared her experience of losing weight down to 43kg to play the role of the sociopath Yoo Seong Ah in the Netflix series 'In the Woods With No One'.
She revealed her shocking daily diet, saying, “I survived on one iced latte, one pack of seasoned seaweed, and two boiled eggs a day,” which astonished viewers. She added, “My concentration actually improved. Eating makes me drowsy, but when I eat less, I feel more awake.”
Go Min Si followed this extreme diet to lose weight down to 43kg for the role, which has since spread rapidly across online communities, drawing significant attention. During the shoot, she maintained an empty stomach and said, “Doesn’t eating make you sleepy? I don’t like that feeling. My body and stamina don’t support it well, and I really dislike that feeling.”
To prepare for the role, Go Min Si shared, “I wanted my spine to show. I felt like it would give a raw feeling to the brutal actions I had to perform.” She also mentioned her previous role in 'The Witch', where she had to gain weight up to 58kg. “I was happy because I could eat freely without restrictions,” she said.
Go Min Si’s ability to control her weight for different roles has caught the public’s attention, highlighting her “rubber band weight.”
Meanwhile, the Netflix series 'In the Woods With No One', in which Go Min Si stars, was released on August 23rd. The 8-part suspense thriller tells the story of people whose peaceful lives are upended by a mysterious visitor, leading to a chain of uncontrollable events.
