S.E.S's Shoo recently shared an update about her life through social media, sparking confusion.
On September 23, Shoo posted a video on Instagram with the caption, "You don’t love me anymore?!"
In the video, Shoo appears with smudged eye makeup from crying and saying, "I’m leaving the house! My mom said she doesn’t love me anymore." In response, her mother can be heard saying, "When did I ever say that? I just said that since you're grown up now, we can skip Christmas presents this year." Shoo humorously replies, "That’s the same thing!" before dramatically getting into a car.
Netizens responded to the video with comments like, "Why are you acting like this?" "Is this a skit?" and "Is this a joke?" sparking curiosity and concern about the video. While some were initially concerned for the singer, many later realized it was a parody of a skit that had been trending online.
Shoo, born in 1981 and now 43 years old, debuted with S.E.S. in 1997. She married basketball player Im Hyo Sung in 2010, and they have one son and twin daughters.
After being active in the entertainment industry for several years, Shoo faced legal trouble in 2019, when she was sentenced to six months in prison (suspended for two years) and 80 hours of community service for habitual overseas gambling.
Recently, rumors of tension within S.E.S. emerged when Bada posted about S.E.S. without tagging Shoo. Addressing these rumors, Bada clarified, "A true friend sometimes respects the wishes of the other person. I hope you can understand, as this was something Shoo didn’t want."
