NewJeans' song "Super Shy" has surpassed 600 million streams on Spotify.
As of August 30 KST, "Super Shy," one of the triple title tracks from NewJeans' 2nd mini album 'Get Up,' has accumulated 600,355,596 streams on Spotify. This marks NewJeans' third song to exceed 600 million Spotify streams, following "OMG" and "Ditto."
Previously, "Super Shy" spent eight weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and nine weeks on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100, peaking at #48 and #52, respectively. It also reached #2 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Global (Excl. U.S.) charts, while entering the Top 10 on Spotify's Global and U.S. Daily Top Songs charts.
To date, NewJeans has 13 songs that have each garnered over 100 million streams on Spotify. "OMG" has exceeded 700 million streams, "Ditto" and "Super Shy" each surpassed 600 million, "Hype Boy" has over 500 million, and "Attention" has over 400 million. Additionally, "New Jeans," "ETA," and "Cookie" have each surpassed 200 million streams, while "Hurt," "Cool With You," "ASAP," "Get Up," and "How Sweet" have each exceeded 100 million streams. The combined total of all streams from NewJeans' songs on Spotify has now reached 5 billion.
Meanwhile, NewJeans has been nominated in the 'Best Group' category at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA). This adds to their previous nomination in the 'Best K-Pop' category for "Super Shy," making them contenders in two categories at the upcoming awards.
