Rookie group TWS has achieved a significant milestone with their debut song, "Plot Twist", surpassing 100 million streams on YouTube Music just six months after its release, as announced by Pledis Entertainment on July 9 KST.
The title track from their first mini-album, 'Sparkling Blue', "Plot Twist", has captivated listeners with its bright and refreshing sound, addictive chorus, and catchy dance moves, which have become popular in various short-form challenges. Upon its release, the song topped charts on platforms like Bugs and Apple Music and has remained in the upper echelons of major music charts for over five months.
Additionally, the song was ranked 3rd on Billboard's 'The 20 Best K-Pop Songs of 2024 (So Far): Critic’s Picks.' Billboard praised "Plot Twist" for its dynamic variations and unexpected twists, calling it an audio adventure that captivates listeners from the first note to the powerful closing.
Currently, TWS is actively promoting their second mini-album, 'SUMMER BEAT!', which has seen impressive success with over 500,000 copies sold in its first week, nearly doubling their previous record. Pledis Entertainment attributes this success to the sustained popularity and buzz generated by "Plot Twist," which has expanded TWS's fanbase significantly.
The title track of their new album, "If I'm S, Can You Be My N," debuted at 94th on Melon's 'Top 100' and has steadily climbed to its peak position at 29th.
