Gong Yoo is in talks to star opposite Song Hye Kyo in an upcoming drama by 'That Winter, the Wind Blows' screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung.
On April 24, reports revealed Gong Yoo is in talks to play the lead role in a new drama by screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung and 'Coffee Prince' director Lee Yoon Jung. Gong Yoo's label Management SOOP stated, "It's true Gong Yoo received an offer to star in Noh Hee Kyung's new project. He's currently reviewing it."
According to reports, Noh Hee Kyung's new project is a modern historical drama about people in the entertainment industry. Song Hye Kyo was previously confirmed to be in talks to star in the series as well.
There's currently a lot of hype around the upcoming project as Noh Hee Kyung is known for hit dramas like 'It's Okay, That's Love', 'Dear My Friends', 'Our Blues', and 'That Winter, the Wind Blows' as well as 'Worlds Within', both starring Song Hye Kyo. Director Lee Yoon Jung is also known for 'Coffee Prince', which is one of Gong Yoo's best known dramas, 'Cheese in the Trap', and 'The Lies Within'.
