If you were to sit down and imagine what a Korean music career looks like after five years, what do you see? It is a music show win or possibly an All-Kill. How about a promotional deal with a Korean company or even international promotions? Sadly, this isn't the reality of Cherry Bullet, and despite an eager and dedicated fanbase behind them, it has been an ongoing struggle for many years. This isn't because of the group itself, or the fanbase, but rather the entertainment company behind them.
FNC Entertainment has been in business since 2006, and alongside some of its musical hits, they also are known for their lackluster management of their artists which has only gotten worse with time. Recently, you may have heard from Fantasys, who are fighting over the mistreatment of SF9, or one of the many other fandoms fighting for their artists under the same label, but I want this article to be about Cherry Bullet, a group that has been through more than enough and yet continues to get the backhand.
Cherry Bullet debuted on January 21, 2019, becoming FNC's second girl group. From the very beginning, they were quite successful charting on the World's Trending Songs Chart and even getting an article from Billboard itself. Things seemed promising for the new group, but after a less than successful comeback later that year with "Really Really". Cherry Bullet ended up going on hiatus for almost 6 months before three members left with little to no reasoning as to why, and the fandom was left in chaos.
This was just the beginning for the K-Pop group on a four-year journey of mismanagement that rivals any other group in the K-pop industry. From only being active 806 days from a 1915-day career to releasing a song with cultural appropriation only to block Lullets (Cherry Bullet's Fandom) emails when they began to campaign for the song release to be delayed until changes could be made. Keeping in mind that to this very day, the girls continue to perform this song and promote it despite the amount of hate that comes with it. It seems that FNC never told the girls about the campaign and just continues to act like it didn't happen.
To keep this article short, let me list out the rest of the biggest offenders:
- No Official Colors
- No Merchandise
- Very little to no reprints of albums
- No Communication App (the only FNC group to not have a contract currently)
- Five years into their career and still haven't had a solo concert or tour
- 23 songs over 5 years
- No reality show since debut
- Never had a Seasons Greetings (only FNC group to not have one)
- No Japanese Promotions (2 Japanese Members)
- Last content was in January
- Tik Tok and Insta is currently inactive
- Never included in FNC material despite being their only girl group
- Sent to a sub-label with limited budget only to be quietly brought back after FNC W ran out of money
- Currently been on hiatus for a year with no comeback in sight
- Instead of being given comebacks they are pushed onto survival shows (4 so far)
So, with all of this in mind, is it a shock that Lullets are currently campaigning for a statement or at least some form of a response from FNC? Since April 18, Lullets are currently campaigning on X with #WhereIsCherryBullet and TREAT CHERRY BULLET BETTER to get a response or a plan for what FNC wants to do with them. This being triggered by FNC releasing their plans for the next year and Cherry Bullet not even being mentioned.
All I can say is that Cherry Bullet is a group of talented girls who blew the K-Pop industry away when they debuted all those years ago, and the Lullets have a point that their talent shouldn't be wasted. Even if the company they come from clearly has it out for their girl groups.

The debut was magnificent and Q&A is one of my favorite kpop songs to this day, but when they dropped my 3 bias out in a row just after the debut, I knew they were doomed.
