tvN's new variety show 'Apartment 404,' featuring BLACKPINK's Jennie and Yoo Jae Suk, has experienced a steady decline in viewership ratings.
On March 8th, the third episode of the new variety show aired, and the viewership ratings were announced. Starting with 2.7% nationwide viewership ratings, the third episode ended up recording 1.7% nationwide viewership ratings after a slight drop in the second episode at 2.1%.
Despite the initial excitement surrounding the collaboration between Jennie, a member of the globally renowned K-pop group BLACKPINK, and Yoo Jae Suk, a veteran entertainer known for his hosting prowess, the show's ratings have failed to maintain their momentum.
Meanwhile, the show is initially set to broadcast for 12 episodes. The new episode comes out every Friday at 8:40 PM KST.
That just shows that having popular people on the show doesn't guarantee permanent and high viewership unless the show is actually interesting. Also, the popular people need to have that quality to attract people, just making cute faces and acting cringey will only result in people leaving out of irritation.
