Actor Kim Woo Bin welcomes a meaningful new year with charitable contributions.
On the 1st, Seoul Asan Hospital announced, "Kim Woo-bin recently donated 100 million won ($77,000) to support treatment costs for patients from underprivileged backgrounds."
He has been involved in donation activities for over a decade. Kim Woo-bin started making anonymous donations in 2014 and has since been participating annually in supporting surgery costs for pediatric cancer patients.
Last year, he donated 100 million won to aid in the recovery from flood damage. He took the lead in donations upon hearing the news of those struggling due to the heavy rains.
His philanthropy doesn't end there. In 2020, Kim Woo-bin donated $77,000 for COVID-19 relief efforts. Another 100 million won was given to support the victims of the East Coast wildfires.
An official praised him, saying, "Kim Woo-bin continues his good deeds, hoping to be of some help. He will be an example to many."
Meanwhile, Kim Woo-bin is currently shooting the Netflix movie 'Military Prosecutor Doberman.' 'Alien + People Part 2,' in which he stars, is set to release on January 10th.
He is also preparing to shoot for the new work by writer Kim Eun-sook, 'Everything Will Come True.'
