HYBE's Bang Si Hyuk recalled the time when J.Y. Park rebuked him.
In the 217th episode of 'You Quiz on the Block' on November 1, two monumental figures in K-pop shared the stage, offering audiences a rare glimpse into their collaborative past and the early days of their respective careers.
During the episode, Bang Si Hyuk opened up about the formative years of Big Hit Entertainment, a time when work was scarce and the office atmosphere was unexpectedly laid back. He recounted, "In the beginning, Big Hit Entertainment didn't have much on its plate. Our days were so leisurely that we'd find ourselves immersed in video games even at work. It wasn't uncommon to see members of the group 8Eight and our staff stepping out to play tennis as a way to pass the time."
It was amidst this relaxed period that J.Y. Park delivered a rare moment of stern advice to Bang Si Hyuk.
Bang Si Hyuk continued, "There was one time when J.Y. Park got mad at me for the first and last time. He said to me 'Why do you only talk about business these days?"
He elaborated, "Park Jin Young said to me 'I want to talk music. Aren't you a musician'," and explained that he was motivated by the talk.
Bang Si Hyuk added, "At that time, Jin Young-hyung gave me producing work for the group 2AM. He said I am good at producing ballad songs so he gave me work to do."
At that time, 2AM's "Can't Let You Go Even if I Die," produced by Bang Si Hyuk, received a lot of love and climbed high on the music charts.
I'm sorry but Park looks like a grandma in that outfit lmao
