The movie 'Sleep' has proven its enduring popularity by taking the top spot on OTT platforms.

On the 23rd, the film 'Sleep,' starring actors Lee Sun Gyun and Jung Yoo Mi, secured the number one spot on the Wave and Watcha movie popularity rankings on OTT platforms.

'Sleep' tells the story of the newlywed couple Hyun-soo (Lee Sun Gyun) and Soo-jin (Jung Yoo Mi), whose happiness is marred by the husband's abnormal behavior during sleep. At the time of its release, the film accumulated 1.45 million viewers with its unique direction and compelling storyline.

On the same day, the Incheon Police Drug Crime Investigation Team officially launched a criminal investigation against Lee Sun Gyun on charges related to the drug control law, including the use of marijuana. Lee Sun Gyun has transitioned from being a subject of the preliminary investigation to a formal suspect. The police believe that Lee Sun Gyun used various types of narcotics, including marijuana, and they are expanding their investigation.

The police also arrested A, a female employee in her 20s who worked at an entertainment establishment in Gangnam, Seoul, and who faces the same charges over the weekend. A is known to have had more than ten phone calls with Lee Sun Gyun this year. Among the other five individuals being investigated are B, a third-generation chaebol, and C, an aspiring entertainer, all of whom have a history of drug use.

A police official stated, "We obtained concrete evidence related to the charges against Lee Sun Gyun, and he has now become a suspect," adding, "We have also arrested one person involved."

In response to this, Lee Sun Gyun's agency, Hodu&U Entertainment, released an official statement on the 20th, saying, "We intend to fully cooperate with the forthcoming investigation by the relevant authorities and face it with a sincere and honest attitude." The agency claimed that Lee Sun Gyun, as a person related to the case, has continuously faced defamation and threats from A and has submitted a criminal complaint to the investigating authorities regarding this matter.
