Earlier on October 27 KST, various media outlets reported on the police apprehension of a woman in her twenties (some previous articles claimed a woman in her thirties) who was caught stalking BTS member V. The woman is currently being investigated by Gangnam District Police.
Confirming the media reports to be true, Big Hit Music curtly commented, "In response to stalking crimes which threaten the safety of our artists and intrude on their privacy, we are exercising a zero tolerance rule."
The news came as a shock to many fans both in Korea and around the globe, and many took to SNS to express their concerns and frustrations.
But to assure the fans that he is doing alright, V made sure to give an update on his wellbeing, both on Weverse and on Instagram.
On Weverse, V wrote, "Hey hey, I'm all good~~ Don't worry," and shared a goofy photo of himself against a sunset.
On his Instagram story, V took a moment to share precious and playful memories from his 'Layover' live band performance practice sessions, indicating that he is safe and well.
Glad you are doing well V! Don’t be afraid to whip out the pepper spray next time! 🧹💨🪳🚮
