Actor Lee Sun Gyun has been confirmed as the top star involved in a drug investigation.

Netizens began speculating Lee Sun Gyun was the top star "Mr.L" facing drug use allegations, and his agency HODU&U Entertainment responded to the reports. On October 20, HODU&U Entertainment confirmed Lee Sun Gyun is currently involved in a drug investigation, but they did not confirm whether the allegations of drug use were true.

The 48-year-old actor's agency stated, "Firstly, we'd like to apologize for the concern caused by the report about actor Lee Sun Kyun, a labelmate of our company. We're confirming the exact facts of the allegations currently being raised against actor Lee Sun Kyun, and we'll sincerely engage in investigations by the investigative agencies that may proceed in the future."

HODU&U Entertainment further stated Lee Sun Gyun has been receiving blackmail threats concerning the case, stating, "Actor Lee Sun Gyun received constant blackmail and threats from 'A,' a person related to the case, and we've submitted a complaint to investigators... We will respond strongly if false information is spread due to malicious or false posts."
