However, this heartwarming moment took a bitter turn when "NewJeans Global," one of the largest Twitter fan accounts dedicated to the girl group NewJeans with over 144,000 followers, posted a derogatory comment on the photos after they were shared by the news outlet Pop Crave. The reply read, "She looks terrible," accompanied by disparaging emojis.

Lisa's fans, widely recognized for their fierce loyalty, swiftly came to her defense. They called out NewJeans Global for their distasteful remark, urging them to issue a formal apology. In response to the escalating backlash, NewJeans Global opted to set their account to private and began blocking users, further fueling the ire of Lisa's supporters. This led to the worldwide trending hashtag, "APOLOGIZE TO LISA."

Upon the revelation of past messages from NewJeans Global's fanbase administrators that further displayed derogatory sentiments towards Lisa, television news outlets in Thailand and other countries expressed their disdain for such actions. These outlets vehemently denounced any form of cyberbullying directed at Lisa, especially from some in the fanbase of Hybe's fast-rising girl group, NewJeans.

However, rather than extending an apology, a section of NewJeans' fans are reportedly targeting Thailand, Lisa's homeland, with negative comments on social media platforms. This has only intensified the backlash and further alienated them from the global online community.
