On July 27 KST, the first episode of the survival show 'NCT Universe : LASTART' aired on ENA, TVING, Nippon TV, and various global streaming platforms. 

On this episode, SHINee member Key joined BoA and Super Junior's Eunhyuk as a special director. In particular, after watching a performance by contestants Haruta and Anderson, Key impressed viewers by smoothly using both Japanese and English to communicate with the contestants from different countries. 

Both Korean and international fans were delighted to hear Key boasting his multilingual abilities, and commented, 

"I feel like he knows how to control his tone for each language."

Meanwhile, SM Entertainment's first ever trainee survival program 'NCT Universe : LASTART' is a project to discover the members of the final NCT unit, NCT Japan. Only four out of ten contestants will earn the chance to debut in a group together with two already chosen members, Sion and Yushi.
