On May 3, the Korean Air Boeing 777-300ER aircraft wrapped with a massive image of the BLACKPINK members made its first appearance at the “2030 Busan World Expo Korean Air Special Event” held at Incheon International Airport’s aircraft hangar.
On May 4, the plane started Incheon-Paris flight KE901 and was found at San Francisco International Airport on the afternoon of May 7.
According to a report by Korean Air, this is because it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with YG Entertainment to build a strategic partnership so that it has now become the official sponsor airline for BLACKPINK's World Tour.
Korean Air will support discounted air tickets and free additional baggage for BLACKPINK World Tour’s artists and staff until August, while passengers will be able to watch BLACKPINK’s special welcome message video on board.
BLACKPINK, who proved their global status by headlining the USA's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival last month, will now take to the skies to promote the Busan Expo in the various countries of their world tour using their fantastic recognition.
