Group BTS has obtained triple platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan on March 29 KST, "Permission to Dance", which was included in the single 'Butter' released by BTS in July of 2021, has been played more than 300 million times in total.
"Permission to Dance", which was certified as double platinum in January, added 100 million cumulative streams in about a month, becoming BTS's third triple platinum work after "Dynamite" and "Butter".
"Permission to Dance" is a light and exciting dance pop genre song with the message that 'you can dance as much as you want without permission'. It is a song that ranked first on 'Billboard's main single chart 'Hot 100' on July 24, 2021.
The Recording Association of Japan categorizes songs into Silver (more than 30 million times), Gold (more than 50 million times), Platinum (more than 100 million times), and Diamond (more than 500 million times) according to the cumulative number of plays, and certifies them every month.
