Seungri has been officially released from prison.
On February 9 KST, an official from the Ministry of Justice confirmed reports the former Big Bang member was released from prison 2 days earlier than scheduled. The official stated, "Seungri, former member of Big Bang, was released from Yeoju Prison this morning."
After 2 separate appeals, Seungri was eventually sentenced to a year and half in prison and a fine of 1.1 billion Won ($874,571.17 USD). In May of last year, he pled guilty to 9 charges, including solicitation of prostitution, embezzlement, violation of sexual violence laws (illegal filming of sexual content), habitual gambling, and more, which centered around him as a key figure in the 2018 Burning Sun club scandal.
Seungri was originally scheduled to be released on February 11 KST.

It’ll be interesting to see if he can have any type of career after this, his reputation is in tatters. Mud really sticks regardless of him being guilty or not, I really can’t see him being able to shake this off very easily.
