NewJeans's 1st single album 'OMG' has swept Oricon's 'Weekly Single Rankings'.
According to the chart's latest update on January 13, the #1 spot on the 'Weekly Single Rankings' for the week of January 16 (Scored from January 2-8) went to NewJeans's 'OMG', earning a total of 56,560 points. Known as the Japanese music industry's standard popularity chart, Oricon's 'Weekly Single Rankings' combines CD sales, digital downloads, and streams to determine the most popular music releases each week.
In particular, NewJeans have now become the first K-Pop girl group debuted after 2016 to top the 'Weekly Single Rankings' chart, once again demonstrating their explosive popularity worldwide, despite being a rookie group.
