Lee Hyori revealed why she wants to stay in the limelight. 

On the January 7th episode of tvN's 'Canada Check-In,' Lee Hyori was seen meeting Ryan's new family and home. Ryan is a dog rescued in September 2021, and he was adopted by a family in Gabriola Island in July 2022. During the episode, Lee Hyori revealed that she and her friends use their personal money to take care of rescued dogs. 

She also revealed she and her friends, who met through volunteering for the rescues, hold an annual fundraising market. This year already marks their 3rd fundraising bazaar. Lee Hyori commented, "Many people donate their belongings for the fundraiser. I sell sponsored clothes. We use the fund for the whole year. So I have to work hard. I can't stay out of the limelight because of the fundraiser."  She said the raised fund is mostly used for vet visits and food for the rescued dogs.
