Hwang Hyunjin, more popularly known as Hyunjin, is Stray Kids' dancer and rapper. Officially, those are his roles, but there is nothing he can't do. Hyunjin is acknowledged as an all-rounder, so let's see some of the things he can do. Obviously, if we were to list them all, it would be never-ending.
Dancing
Hyunjin is Stray Kids' dancer for a reason. He is particularly known for his dancing skills. Often recognized as having such a powerful stage presence, Hyunjin makes the stage his playground. He looks the happiest every time he's on stage and makes it seems that he was born to perform.
Hyunjin also often choreographs his own dance and has a way of captivating his audience. The way he understands music and arranges the moves to every note to fit perfectly with the melody is a work of art. He puts emotions in both his face and moves, which makes both fans and non-fans fall for his charm and allure every time he performs. In a Marie Claire interview Hyunjin did last year, he said that he would continue to dance until he could no longer do so.
Hyunjin also became Studio Choom's Artist of the Month in October 2021, where he covered Motley Crew. His video became one of the most viewed in the series, with currently 30 million views.
Painting
Not only is Hyunjin a work of art himself, but he also creates art. A hobby he picked up a few years back, Hyunjin has now come a long way from wanting to learn how to draw to becoming a great artist. He often does his art during his free time, whether that be at the dorms or at the hotel during a schedule.
At the dorms, they have a designated space for Hyunjin to paint and be at his happiest place, aside from performing on stage. Hyunjin would often share his work online for fans to enjoy, and it seems that the members also appreciate his art, as the group's youngest, I.N customized his in-ear to be one of Hyunjin's drawings. Just as how he is able to pour his heart and soul into his performances, he does the same with his art.
Modeling
As the group's visual, it is no surprise to see Hyunjin across a variety of editorial pieces. With his stunning visuals and whatever style, he will certainly go viral amongst not only fans but also fellow idols; Hyunjin is unstoppable. Similar to his dances and artworks, Hyunjin expresses himself so well that you can feel it through the screen.
After coming back from their 2nd World Tour, "Maniac," Hyunjin was busy attending fashion events such as the 'YSL Beauty' event in Paris, and the TOD's event in Seoul, alongside member Felix, where they both looked absolutely stunning.
Photography
If we have #hyunpic for his art, we also have #hyuncam for all the beautiful photos Hyunjin personally takes and shares with fans. He is also known to carry a camera wherever he goes and would capture many cool street photos. According to his latest vlog on [SKZ VLOG] Hyunjin : Hyun.e's Holiday 5, he usually takes photos as inspirations for when he goes back to painting.
Hyunjin also shares some cute film shots of the other members too! Maybe in the future, we can have a photo book of all of Hyunjin's photography and art.
Writing Lyrics
Although 3RACHA writes most of Stray Kids' discography, the other members occasionally write too, and that includes Hyunjin. As of current, Hyunjin has written 15 songs, including Red Lights, Muddy Water, and Wow. In most of the songs he writes for SKZ-Record track or SKZ-Player track, he writes them on his own, such as Little Star and Ice.Cream.
Hyunjin also created the hashtag #LoveStay for fans and is known as Stays' LoveStay Boy. However, the hashtag is used by the entire group as a term of endearment for fans. The group even released the song #LoveSTAY which Hyunjin wrote alongside Felix and I.N, as a gift for fans for the last day of 2021.
Wish you could've added his singing and rapping! Honestly, I LOVE the way he raps, he's got a bit of sass and charsima to it that I adore and the fact that he worked his way to improve from pre-debut to now and made what was one of his weaker skills something very strong and recognizable. And how sweet his higher vocal tone is! From Psycho, his own work in Little Star, Red Lights, and as of recent, Taste. He's a hard-worker for whatever art he dives into, I'd say.
