INFINITE's youngest member, Sungjong, took on the role of MC at the debut showcase for rookie group 13Found, who launched their debut album 'Found' on November 11. 13Found is a unique and creative trio consisting of Park Minseo, Song Jiwon, and Kim Sungyeon. The members are hands-on with their music, contributing to lyrics, composition, and visuals for their album's artistic direction.
When asked if he had any advice for his junior colleagues, Sungjong humorously replied, “I hope you don’t have to file a lawsuit, it’s difficult,” which brought laughter from the audience. He added, “I won’t give up on my lawsuit and will handle it well. I want our 13Found members to walk a flowery path without any hardships.”
Last year, Sungjong ended his contract with his former agency, SPK Entertainment, following a forced mediation in a lawsuit he filed. He disclosed that SPK Entertainment failed to pay him for his activities, including those with INFINITE, and that the agency had neglected necessary support for broadcasts, fan meetings, and album releases since he signed in August 2022. Despite multiple requests, SPK Entertainment refused to settle the outstanding payments.
This year, during his fan meeting "RESTART," Sungjong went viral after inviting the lawyers assisting him with his lawsuit, much to the audience’s admiration. Fans noted his resilience and positive attitude, especially as he spoke openly about his ongoing legal battle.
Sungjong shared further advice with his juniors, saying, "Whenever there’s a tough situation, it helps to talk it out. Being honest with each other is key to avoiding any lingering issues,” highlighting the strong communication within INFINITE. “We in INFINITE have always communicated and talked freely without holding back.”
