According to media outlet reports on July 20, actor Nam Goong Min and actress Ahn Eun Jin are in talks to star in a new MBC historical romance drama, 'Lover'.

Scripted by Hwang Jin Young of 'The Rebel: The Thief Who Stole People' and directed by Kim Sung Yong of 'The Veil', 'Lover' tells the story of a Joseon era man who fails in marriage twice and declares that he will not fall in love again. However, he soon meets a young woman who dreams of falling in love with her soulmate.

If cast as the male lead of 'Lover', Nam Goong Min will be reuniting with Kim Sung Yong PD of 'The Veil'. Nam Goong Min was previously awarded the 'Daesang' at the 'MBC Drama Awards' last year for his excellent performance in 'The Veil'. 

Actress Ahn Eun Jin, known for her role in tvN's 'Hospital Playlist', has been offered the role of the female lead, a beautiful young maiden whose hand in marriage is coveted by many suitors. 

'Lover' is expected to air on MBC some time in early 2023.
