BTS's Jimin yet again contributes to the globalization of Korean culture

BTS' Jimin was called Korea's Frontman by Korean media for contributing to the globalization of Korean culture, K-Pop, and being an icon of national prestige.
On the 16th of February, this was yet again highlighted by Korean media. In a news piece by KBSNews regarding the popularity of the Korean wave, which is rising abroad after the pandemic, the report mentioned that a survey conducted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism revealed that consumption of Korean dramas and video content was preferred in particular the Korean dramas Parasite and Squid game being popular overseas and to introduce BTS, they used a clip from 'Butter' MV which focused on Jimin's center part to talk about the group's popularity.
The clip has been widely popularized worldwide and was used by international and local media following the release of Butter and performances, clearly showing Jimin's impact. Jimin's concept photo for Butter made a statement and went viral as international media outlets and verified accounts praised Jimin's bright rainbow highlights. Popular Indian media Indiacom called his rainbow hair The Top BTS fashionable moments of 2021.
On the same day, Jimin's popularity in Japan was brought to focus on JTBC's TalkPawon 25 O'clock. In the show, random people were asked about what came to mind when they thought of Korea, and two ladies responded with, Jimin-Chan without any hesitation. The TalkPawon 25 O'clock segment has gained popularity during the pandemic for airing overseas content shared by Koreans overseas. BTS Jimin's popularity in Japan is explosive as it was recently revealed that Kotomi Ishizaki, an athlete on Japan's curling team, was seen in possession of Jimin's BTS x McDonald's merchandise as well as a Jimin Dynamite sticker.
