BTS member J-Hope's solo mixtape 'Hope World' has topped the iTunes chart in 109 different regions.
On August 3rd KST, 'Hope World' ranked #1 on Nepal's iTunes 'Top Song' chart. This marked the 109th country where 'Hope World' topped the iTunes chart in. Thus, 'Hope World' has broken Beyonce's record with her 'Lemonade' album topping the iTunes chart in 108 different countries. Fans enthusiastically took to Twitter to celebrate J-Hope's 'Hope World' topping the iTunes chart in 109 different countries, and the hashtags 'HopeWorldByJhope109Win', 'HOBI', and 'HOSEOK' trended real-time on Twitter.
'Hope World' was first released in March 2018, and includes a total of seven tracks. It is also the first mixtape where J-Hope participated as the main writer, composer, and producer. At the time of its release, 'Hope World' set a new record among all Korean solo artists by topping the iTunes charts in 63 different regions. Further, it entered the U.S. Billboard's 'Artist 100' chart for two consecutive weeks, setting another new record among all Korean solo artists.
J-Hope is currently an official member of the Korea Music Copyright Association and owns the copyright of 112 songs as of July 2021.
