Women's Wear Daily (WWD), a journal that has been covering the fashion industry for over 100 years, made the switch to digital-only in 2017 and occasionally releases special print editions. Kang Daniel is the first Korean cover model for WWD Korea's special edition since the journal's inception in Korea in 2019. Previously, supermodel Helena Christensen appeared on the special edition cover in December 2019. Now, Kang Daniel will grace the cover of the special edition this May. The main journal also recently had an English interview with Kang Daniel.
