The older brother of the late actress and singer Sulli is facing backlash after disclosing details about her past relationships during a recent livestream.
On March 31st KST, shortly after actor Kim Soo Hyun’s press conference, Sulli’s brother Choi took to social media and unexpectedly claimed that “Sulli dated Block B’s P.O for about a year.” He added, “He even came to our house and drank wine with us. That was during their relationship. She dated P.O before she met Choiza. P.O was a kind person.”
His sudden mention of P.O—who has no connection to the ongoing controversy surrounding Kim Soo Hyun—prompted concern and criticism from viewers. Comments during the livestream included: “Please stop,” “This isn’t the time,” and “Why bring up P.O when it’s unrelated to what you’re talking about?”
Many online are calling the disclosure inappropriate, especially since it involves a third party unrelated to the current public discussions. Some users expressed frustration over Choi’s decision to publicly reveal Sulli’s private life, demanding more restraint out of respect for her memory and the privacy of others.
Earlier on March 28th, Choi publicly raised questions about Sulli’s bed scene in the film ‘Real’, demanding clarification from Kim Soo Hyun and director Lee Sa Rang (Lee Love). He alleged that:
- The script did not originally specify a nude scene;
- There was a body double available at the time, but Sulli was allegedly persuaded to film the scene herself;
- Conflicting accounts exist regarding whether the body double was actually on set that day.
As the discussion around ‘Real’ and Kim Soo Hyun continues to evolve, Choi’s decision to bring up unrelated names has sparked a debate on boundaries and respect in handling a deceased loved one’s legacy.
