BTS’s V is highly regarded as one of the most influential artists of this generation. Stories of his impact on the sales of small scale businesses are continually on the news. One such story that has transpired recently is of “CCNMADE” or more popularly known as “The creators of V’s favorite bracelets.”

“Choi ChangNam” or “CCNMADE” is a bracelet manufacturing brand that soar to popularity in August 2019 when V was photographed sporting one of their bracelets. In a recent interview with Arirang Culture, Choi ChangNam, the owner of the brand remarked V’s irrefragable impact as the turning point for her business.

She said: “One of our employees is an ARMY who thought it was unfair to hide something so grand. Before she left for vacation, she shared a hashtag (#CCNMADE) indicating that the bracelet is ours and that spread uncontrollably.”

When asked if waves of people came in after the news spread, the owner replied with a humble “Thank You.” She further added that she saw a glimpse of what people call the colossal power of BTS and said: “We had to hire a new employee just for the overseas sales.”

Choi Changnam also recalled the struggles of maintaining the hand-threading business among the copycats as well as the competition from the mechanical industry and said: “Right when we were about to say farewell, BTS’s Kim Taehyung was seeing wearing our bracelets.” She further conveyed her gratitude describing V as “V-Light” and said: “We are so thankful because we were at such a dire situation where all odds were against us.”

The story of CCNMADE has emerged days after V made headlines for selling out a book promoted as one of his favorites in Japan. As V has time and again proven his evident impact of being a ray of light for the small scale businesses, it is safe to say that Choi ChangNam’s nickname for him “V-Light” is spot on.
