After the first court hearing between Wanna One's Kang Daniel and his label LM Entertainment this past April 24, new sources are claiming that Kang Daniel is working on new solo music in the midst of his ongoing legal dispute.
According to Ilgan Sports on April 25, Kang Daniel reportedly traveled to the United States immediately after requesting to nullify his exclusive contract with LM Entertainment, accompanied by 'Ms. Seol'. This figure in question is currently under suspicion of acting as the instigator in Kang Daniel's initial dispute with his agency.
Kang Daniel and Seol allegedly visited Los Angeles, California some time in early April to meet up with a well-known, foreign producer, discussing Kang Daniel's solo music. Afterward, Seol is said to have returned to her home in Hong Kong after stopping at Incheon airport first; then, Kang Daniel also returned to Korea through Incheon airport at approximately 4 AM KST in mid-April.
Some netizen accounts also say that Kang Daniel was spotted returning to Korea from LA recently. One noted, "Kang Daniel purchased flight tickets with a credit card he received from Ms. Seol."
Meanwhile, both Kang Daniel and LM Entertainment provided firm, unyielding arguments during their first court hearing back on April 23.
Regardless of what his agency did or didn't do, Daniel Kang is acting in bad faith, or at least that's how the law views it when a performer under contract violates that contract before lawfully terminating it. That's going to work against him in court.
