Billboard and Rolling Stone revealed the achievements of the boy band BTS.
On Billboard’s ‘Year-End Chart’, BTS’s ‘Love Yourself: Tear’ and ’Love Yourself: Answer’ both placed first on ‘Billboard 200’. There was also an article stating, “While K-pop has widened its influence in the world, BTS has broken the walls of genres.” They explained, “BTS has surpassed the K-pop genre. They rapidly took on billboard’s main charts in ways other artists were unable to.” They emphasized, “BTS are the first Korean group to place their names on the ‘Social 50’. With the achievements of BTS, there is greater interest for K-pop and music activities. We believe that they helped K-pop grow in a healthy manner.”
Rolling Stone also included BTS’s ‘Love Yourself: Tear’ and ‘Fake Love’ in the ’20 Best Pop Albums of 2018’. Rolling Stone said, “BTS’s albums showed more than the best results. Even without letting go of their language (Korean) and style, they showed everything they were able to. ‘Fake Love’ broke through the language barrier and set a new record for K-pop groups.”
They released so many great songs this year but I am so damn spoiled that I am still hungry for more. I cannot wait for Taehyung's Xmas song, Jimin's song that he promised us, JK's much-awaited mixtape, Suga's new mixtape and of course an all new BTS era within the next 3-4 months. I also cannot stress it enough, RM's 'Solo' was so damn good. I ain't a crazy fan that says everything they do is amazing but he really outdid himself with that 'playlist'.
