Rose Motel revealed the band is having internal conflicts.
On November 12, Rockstar Music and Live announced that Rose Motel has disbanded after 7 years due to different opinions among the members. Yook Joong Wan and Kang Joon Woo will now promote with the new band name, Yook Joong Wan Band, from now on.
In response, the remaining members Bae Sang Jae, Lim Kyung Sup, and Yoon Jang Hyun shared an official statement via Facebook. The 3 members claim Rose Motel has not officially disbanded but rather separated due to a bad relationship among the members.
The statement reads as follows:
"Rose Motel did not officially disband.
Hello, this is Rose Motel's Bae Sang Jae, Lim Kyung Sup, and Yoon Jang Hyun. First of all, we're ashamed to our fans. We are speaking up with embarrassment in order to straighten out the false information regarding band Rose Motel's disbandment reports that was released by our agency.
Rose Motel did not disband but has fallen apart. The two people (Yook Joong Wan and Kang Joon Woo) asked the three members to leave Rose Motel.
Rose Motel does not belong to one person. It is not 'so-and so's Rose Motel.' Rose Motel is a 5-member band.
The nameless musicians received overwhelming love throughout the past 7 years due to luck.
Thank you."
"The 3 members claim Rose Motel has not officially disbanded but rather separated..."
So what exactly is the difference? Is disbandment supposed to mean that group members mutually decide to split up, while separation means that they split up due to internal conflicts? I haven't seen this difference apply when other Korean groups have fallen apart.
