On the October 3 airing of 'One Night of TV Entertainment', a reporter commented to Seo Hae Soon, "It's reported that your daughter Seo Yeon died from acute pneumonia..."
To this, Seo Hae Soon replied, "(Yes) It's all in the records. She had a disability and her health was poor. She had signs of the flu, as well as the Kabuki syndrome. We traveled around the world (for treatment). A lot of money went into her."
As for the reason why she didn't notify her family or anyone about the death of her daughter, Seo Hae Soon explained, "It's not because of the ongoing lawsuit or anything. She was only 15, 16 back then so her care is up to the mother." She then expressed frustration and anger toward the people accusing her, and said, "I think they're all mentally ill."
She continued, "My father passed away in April of 2007. I had to work, was also involved in the lawsuit and had to take care of the restaurant. My relationship (with my family) turned bad after my father died. I didn't want to invite my family members or anyone (to Seo Yeon's funeral)."
She also reiterated that Kim Kwang Suk committed suicide. Meanwhile, Kim Kwang Suk's brother, Kim Kwang Bok, has sued Seo Hae Soon for fraud, homicide, and lack of child support. He also claimed everything Seo Hae Soon says is filled with lies.
