Minhyun is originally a member of NU'ESTbut is currently taking a break from the group's promotions because he made it into the 'Produce 101' season 2 boy groupWanna One.
The moment when Minhyun broke down after he realized he was the only NU'EST member to make in the top 11 is still a painful memory for NU'EST fans. So when it was reported that Minhyun would be a special MC for 'M! Countdown' this week, many had been looking forward to Minhyun reuniting with the rest of the NU'EST members.

Following the music show, M2 originally uploaded a video of Minhyun and NU'EST W meeting on and off stage but the video was taken down after a few hours.
Although there was no specific reason given for the video being taken down, it's assumed that some were unhappy with the reunion.
Ever since the end of 'Produce 101' season 2, both NU'EST and Minhyun have been attacked even just by merely mentioning each other. For instance, Minhyun was attacked for mentioning NU'EST on 'Happy Together 3'. JRand Renendured hate comments for uploading happy birthday posts for Minhyun. JR also accidentally let Minhyun's name slip during his 'V' broadcast with Aron, and antis came specifically into the live broadcast to attack him for mentioning Minhyun.
