On August 17, Mnet responded to numerous reports regarding the '2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA)'. There was one report stating that this year's 'MAMA' will be held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
A representative stated, "The original plan was to hold this year's 'MAMA' in Seoul. However, plans for the Gocheok Sky Dome have been scrapped. We are currently looking for another location outside of Korea. The date has not been set yet."
Prior to this, there were also various reports saying the '2017 MAMA' was going to be held in Osaka, Japan, and Hong Kong on November 29 and December 1.
However, the exact date and location remain unconfirmed.
