Recently, SISTAR shocked the public by announcing that they have decided to go their separate ways after 7 years together. �

According to Segye�Ilbo, the rule was that SISTAR will disband if at least one of the members expresses their wish to leave the group.�

A rep from their agency explained that the member who wanted to proceed with the disbandment was Hyorin, who has a strong passion for her solo career. The rep stated, "Now or later, her wish will be the same even if they promote as a girl group for several more years. I think that's why she brought up the courage to disband."

Hyorin is well known for her amazing vocals and has also recently completed her�solo North American tour. It's reported that she wants to expand her singing career as a solo artist and her members and agency decided to respect her decision.�

As a result, the members have come to a fair agreement to go their separate ways. Hyorin, Bora, and Soyu�will continue their careers as singers while Dasom�will shift gears into acting.�
