On graduation day, parents and the local community will work together to hold a campaign to stop school bullying. Police will be patrolling the streets checking nearby internet cafes, karaoke places to see if any alcohol or cigarettes are being sold to underage students.
Furthermore, anyone who throws flour or eggs at others will be arrested for assault. As well as those who steal money on graduation day as a farewell greeting will be punished.
The police commented, "We will continue to keep watch in the ever growing school community especially during this graduation period."
It's a graduation ritual in Korea for graduating students to have eggs and flour thrown at them. However, some have taken things to the extreme and some of these ceremonies can be described as borderline assault. The police hope this will prevent such an event from happening.
