The vice chairman of South Korea's fifth-largest conglomerate 'Lotte' Group was found dead this Friday, August 26.
Police suspect that 'Lotte' vice chairman Lee In Won committed suicide after receiving reports from local residents that a man in his 60s was hanging from a tree. His car was found near the site of the incident, along with a suicide note addressing his family and his company.
Lee was found to have been under investigation for several allegations, including playing a critical role in 'Lotte' Group's alleged tax evasions, creating slush funds, and other shady deals between the group and affiliates.
