Though he was proved innocent in the sexual assault case, Lee Jin Wook still has much to answer for in the incident's aftermath.
Reports were released on August 25 stating that an outdoor apparel brand that Lee Jin Wook had entered into a contract with is demanding indemnification from the actor for the losses they suffered following the sexual assault case. The brand could not use any of Lee Jin Wook's prints or ads, and they were forced to discard all other forms of advertisements with the actor's face prominently displayed on them.
Lee Jin Wook signed an exclusive contract with this brand earlier in the year, and it was reported that he was paid around 400 million KRW (~$358,304 USD) for the deal.

In an attempt to offset its loss, the company sent a document demanding compensation from Lee Jin Wook.
The brand stated, "We have sent a document to Lee Jin Wook regarding the expenses occurred for the breach of contract which he must compensate. We plan to enter negotiations with him."
