Song Joong Ki's appearance on 'KBS News 9' was a pleasant surprise to the news crew and viewers. Not only because he is currently the hottest star, but also because he was the first celebrity ever to appear on the show. It's revealed Kim Jin Hong, who is the head director of the KBS variety department, asked Song Joong Ki to come on the show. Mr. Kim is also the one who selected Song Joong Ki to be the 'Music Bank' MC back in 2009. Thanks to Mr. Kim, the rookie actor was able to appear on a popular music program. 

Song Joong Ki accepted Mr. Kim's offer for 'News 9' with no hesitation as he wanted to show appreciation. Without Mr. Kim, Song Joong Ki might have missed a great opportunity in his career. The reason behind Song Joong Ki's appearance on 'KBS News 9' is quite heartwarming.
