Psy held a press conference on November 30 at the Conrad Hotel where he discussed the immense success of "Gangnam Style" and the consequent burden.

When asked to compare his double title tracks "Daddy" and "Bell Bottoms" to "Gangnam Style," he replied, "I will do no such comparison. The weight of 'Gangnam Style' was too heavy, so I don't even go to Gangnam often. I will politely decline from any comparison with 'Gangnam Style.' More than that, please listen to how I created the nine songs in the album with the utmost care."
He also said during the press conference, "It took too long [for me to release new music]. It took two years and eight months since 'Gentleman' and three years and five months since my sixth album. I did not know it would take this long. Just like how they say that there is a time studying is the easiest for honor students, there was a period of time where music was the easiest for me, but as the netizens said, I thought that no matter what I wrote, whether I was feeling oppressed, stressed, or had the American disease, I thought that if I wrote like this, it would not live up to 'Gangnam Style.'
"There were too many thoughts in my brain even before I began writing songs, thoughts like 'If I do it like this, people overseas would not understand.' Taking care of all those thoughts at once took a very long time. I got back a bit of my sanity while performing at the college festival early this year. At one moment, I thought, 'I chose this career because I wanted to do what I wanted to do, so why am I unable to do what I want to do right now and being like this?'"
Fighting, Psy!
