A riveting mystery romance, 'Dear Hongrang', is coming soon to Netflix.
Based on the best-selling novel by Jang Da Hye, 'Dear Hongrang' tells the story of a powerful merchant family during the Joseon era whose son goes missing. 12 years later, the missing son returns and convinces everyone that he's the real 'Hongrang' - everyone but his half-sister, Jae Yi. Actor Lee Jae Wook returns to the historical genre as Hongrang, while Jo Bo Ah takes on the role of Jae Yi.
In the teaser trailer unveiled on April 17 KST, Hongrang's appearance after 12 years turns the world upside down for members of the Min family, including Hongrang's mother Min Yeon Eui (played by Uhm Ji Won), his father and the head of the family Shim Yeol Guk (played by Park Byung Eun), his adopted brother Mu Jin (played by Jung Ga Ram), and of course, his half-sister, who does not believe that he is the real Hongrang.
Meanwhile, Hongrang's return also triggers a series of strange rumors, as well as child abductions mysteriously resembling the disappearance of Hongrang from 12 years ago, further adding to the story's intensity.
Directed by Kim Hong Sun of 'Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area', 'Dear Hongrang' is coming soon to Netflix on May 16.
